Walkthrough steps
- Forest of Fallen Giants: Use the giant nest in the boss arena to be carried to The Lost Bastille (The Tower Apart); open the chests for a Dull Ember and two Human Effigy items
- Forest of Fallen Giants: Give the Dull Ember to Steady Hand McDuff, light the torch stand and rest; his chest now holds the Craftsman's Hammer and Twinkling Titanite
- New Game Plus Preparation: Infuse gear with Steady Hand McDuff now; the Dull Ember must be found again next cycle
